This past Saturday (May 5th, 2012) a group of 20 participants biked down from East Los Angeles to Long Beach to raise funds for LA CAUSA’s Summer of Solutions while bringing attention to the climate crises arising around the world. We began our bike at 9:00 am from Atlantic Gold Line Station riding down to the entrance of the LA River Bike Path in the city of Vernon. A long the way we stopped for a picnic where bici-libre provided bicycle power smoothies and Food not Bombs provided a delicious lunch. After lunch we made our way down to Long Beach to Bike fest. A great time was had!
